Quilt as you Go Workshop
Location: Unitarian Universalist Congregation Click here for mapquest directions
Time: 6:30 - 8:30 pm Instructor: BarbSupply List
- Bring your basic sewing supplies to include rotary cutter and mat, pins, scissors, pencil, and thread
- Bring a 12-1/2” ruler or square if you have one (I have some extras I will bring)
- Hand and machine needles
- Sewing machine and filled bobbins
- Extension cord
- I realize that we may have time to make just one or two blocks which are reversible with each side having a focus fabric. One side can be white and the flip side black, for example. You can do one side pink and the other side blue. Pick out a focus fabric for each side and match up 8-12 coordinating fabrics, cut into 1-1/2” strips, for each focus fabric.
- You will need matching thread for both of your focus fabrics.
- Cut 1 piece of each of your focus fabrics into 11” squares.
- Cut 2 pieces of batting into 11” squares.
- Cut your coordinating fabrics into 1-1/2” strips. Some of them need to be 16” long. They can be as small as 6”. This is a great way to use up scraps.
